Following the major project I completed setting up the business development team at haysmacintyre accountants back in 2005, and then completing a major client research project in 2008, I was invited back in January 2010 to spend three afternoons each week covering the maternity leave of their BD Manager. It was a real pleasure to back at this firm again, particularly working with three rather brilliant young marketers in the team there. As well as the usual mix of client events and competitive tenders, we have made real progress on social media there (launching a truly elegant and powerful blogging system) – for which the firm was shortlisted in the CIM Excellence Awards in 2011. There was also work on tendering and sales process management.
Following an earlier programme of training programmes for the in-house marketing team Lane Clark & Peacock actuaries and consultants, during the latter part of 2009 I continued with some performance coaching there with satisfyingly good results. During 2011 I returned for a workshop and role plays on effective relationship development using a variety of psychological techniques.
Early in 2011 I was invited by Grant Thornton http://www.grant-thornton.co.uk to lead the “Forward Thinking” learning and development programme. Projects have so far been tackled in social media and value propositions.
